The higher and technical education department has directed to implement four year eight semester multi disciplinary degree courses with multiple entry and multiple exit option in all the universities of the state from next academic year.

According to the new structure, students will get the degree certificate after completing 120 credit in three years. An honors or research degree will be awarded on completion of 160 credits over four years. 40% of the courses in each semester will be available for online learning platform. The final phase of the course includes a ten-credit employee add on course and an internship. Also two hundred credits have to be obtained for five years integrated course. A minimum of 40% marks is mandatory to pass the course.

Specialisation and internship for students in a subject in both the final years of the four year honors course. Twenty credit for that.
Twenty credits for research projects, dissertations, workshops an internships in both semesters in the final years of the four year research course.
40 credits after 1200 hours of study.
